OK, World Superbikes doesn't have much to do with Harley-Davidson or my Road King. There weren't any out on the track and not all that many parked around the track. So I'm going to brush over today and throw up the photos so I can remember being there. The main point is though that we had a ball and the Advantage Plus package allowed us to escape the outrageous heat outside, enjoy the racing, good company and there was no shortage of food and refreshments. Here's a point form
- Up early for an 8k run
- Breakfast, clean up and off to the track on a shuttle by 8.30
- Walked from Gate 3 around the northern half of the track
- Plenty to see in the trade stand area
- Racing to watch, coffee and muffins
- Bar open at 11am
- Lunch
- Back to the trade show, bought some BMW shirts. go the B'mers!
- Pit Lane walk (much more interesting than I thought it would be)
- Bar still open
- Sad event that made the news
- Day over and soon realised that taxi's in Phillip Island are hopeless and Dave called the bus company that dropped us off in the morning and they sent one out especially to pick 30 or so of us stranded at the track.
- Clean up, nanna nap and dinner at the local Chinese (old fashioned food but great fried rice)
- Street party and a band in the main street of Cowes
- Back to the Isle of Wight, no tonic water so sampled the vodka
- Night nights.
