Tomorrow is the day we hit Eastern Creek again and so we arrived at the track nice and fresh we decided to head to the Chifley Hotel next to the track for the night. I was heading to the Course with a mate DW who has a lovely BMW 1200 who was itching to get it going fast, last time he was at Eastern Creek he was on a 400cc Honda and his P's. Zanderhar the lad also decided to come down for the trip.
So we left home about 3pm for a quick trip straight down the F3, M2, M7, Great Western Highway only 170ks or so. The plan was to arrive for dinner, have a couple of quiet gin and tonics and have an early night. The world wide web told us that there was a restaurant and a bar at the hotel, what it didn't tell us was that neither was open. We were welcome to experience the Room Service menu for food and drinks though.
Back on the bikes, we thought we'd try the Eastern Creek Tavern a short distance away... closed too! I started to wonder if we were actually within striking distance of civilisation. So towards the big smoke we went fortunately not too far away spotting a sign to Blacktown Workies and the Travelodge Motel. Happily both were open and food was to be had in the form of a $17.50 banquet at the club which jokingly turned into trying to decide how many ways seafood extender could be served.
