Happy New Year! Today my 2009 Road King is a year old even if it's not. That's the only down side of the new year. There's some great things on the horizon for 2010 already and I'm keen to get back on the road after a very lean December ride wise.
Already planned is two days at Eastern Creek doing a couple of those great Stay Upright Advanced Courses, the end of the month sees a hit out at one of my favourite two day rides Gloucester - Thunderbolts Way - Oxley Highway and back. Also booked in is a 2200k ride to Mt Isa for the Queensland State HOG Rally as the first leg of this year's epic ride which will see me looking for a 4000-5000k route home as yet undecided on.
Undecided but likely is the National HOG Rally at Mt Buller in December, Tamworth and Tumut with the Blue Liners in May and September respectively and a couple of overnighters with the local HOG chapter in between.
2010 also presents important things that will keep me off the Harley. This year for me is training for my first marathon (starting today), heading to New Zealand for that in May. There's also talk of a White Christmas overseas and a bunch of things already calendared with the family, all fun but not on two wheels.
Whoever you are, I hope you have a great New Year. If you don't have a Harley, get one this year and don't fall off it!
