A record of owning My Harley-Davidson® motorcycle.  It's here for my ongoing analysis of ownership, and because my memory's rather shit. If you read it I hope you find something in it for you.

Rain was forecast today and there were a few clouds about, but after spending the day indoors yesterday the commitment level was high for a ride. The family was also keen to go somewhere nice for lunch so we decided to head to a little town called Dungog, across to the Bucketts Way and then to Gloucester.  The lunch location was flexible.

We

Today was the HOG ride to Toukley.  After a big day yesterday doing boring stuff I was keen for a ride and after quick SMS to Roy we decided to meet up and head for the ride's gathering place at Belmont.  My son on the back of course!

A quick fuel up (13.29l @ $17.40) and waiting for the start time saw about 13 Harley's ready to

I'd tentatively arranged with Roy to go for a ride with him today, but he woke up lame so a plan adjustment needed to be made.  My daughter was expecting a turn on the Road King so my wife and I started thinking about a possible destination for another nice lunch outing.

During the deliberations my father-in-law called up to offer to

The weather was fine this morning and I knew that the HOG Chapter were leaving for an overnighter this morning and thought that I'd tag along for a while.  I picked up the bike from the office, dropped back home and my son and I headed off to the meeting spot. A few k's from home I started to notice the engine warning light on the dial flash.

The general plan for the day was for me to head north with my son and the HOG Chapter for a ride, turn around and meet my wife and other kids at Tea Gardens for lunch on the way back.  My wife had planned to leave an hour or so after me and the quick but late departure put a spanner into the works about what the new plans were.

I headed

It's been a few months since I joined the local chapter of the Harley Owners Group and other than the ride to Denman a while back weather and other commitments have kept me from riding with them again. I unexpectedly found some free time today, looked at Hogswill and found that it was the day for March's New Member Ride.

I organised my son

Since I bought the Road King my car has been pushed outside for parking, there's no way I'm leaving it outside, despite having purchased the lovely HD cover for it.  The dilemma was, my car has been replaced with a nice shiny new one and it's sensible to look after it too.  Sadly, the Harley-Davidson now lives at my office.

It's

It's Saturday, and the weather looks OK but before I go for a ride I need to wash off the grime that settled on the Road King riding home from Sydney in the wet on Monday afternoon.  My daughter was keen to help in order to secure a seat on the ride for her second official outing.  An hour and a half later the Harley-Davidson was sparkling....

Just so we are clear... no puns intended anywhere in this blog!

Today was the day my wife and I had organised some time for her to finally come for a ride on the Road King.  After annoying delays beyond our control she was finally geared up and we were ready to leave.  She expressed a lack of opinion about where we should go, so

Today was the day, Oran Park... Advanced Riding Skills Course...me, my son and the Road King! The weather was relatively fine and the forecast was good, so we headed over to Oran Park from the overnight stay at Narellen.  There were a bunch of bikes of all brands and sizes there when we arrived, with 25 participants booked in for the day. There
