It's been a couple of weeks since I have had a chance to take the Harley Davidson out for a spin and I was getting very keen to take it for a spin given it's recent service which included the addition of the Oil Cooler.  When I mentioned I was going for a ride for an hour or so my eldest daughter expressed a desire to come with me.

To vest or not to vest?  It's been a question I've been asking myself for over a year now while riding my Harley Davidson.  I've seen members of the local HOG Chapter as well as other general riders with different ideas about having a vest, what goes on it, when to wear it but I've often wondered about the practicality of one.

I

I dropped into the local Harley Davidson dealer this afternoon to check to see if my 09 Road King was ready to take home. I didn't know what to expect, I hadn't heard from them since I was there on Monday and was a little concerned.

Walking into the service area I saw it waiting, assembled, washed and I was pleased.  The next potential

My Road King has been at the local Harley Davidson dealer's since Monday afternoon when I dropped it off to investigate a noise it's been making.

It appears the noise was a loose compensator nut.  I had no clue what that was, so a bit of googling tells me that it's behind the primary cover and part of the drive cog bits coming

An early start this morning, my wife heading to a conference and me back home saw me leave the Park Hyatt at the Rocks in Sydney shortly before 8am with enough fuel to make the run home without stopping.  Perfect weather for a ride turned into some fog and clouds with a touch of precipitation around the Central Coast.  Not enough rain

After the day on Eastern Creek yesterday I spent last night at Parramatta having dinner with a couple of friends who I hadn't caught up with for ages.  This morning my legs were still suffering from the trouncing they got holding me on to the Harley Road King going around the track.  Today I was heading in to Sydney proper where I was

Tomorrow I head to Eastern Creek again and the rear tyre was very due for replacement after 16500 ks.  I'd booked it in to the local dealer for tryes today and to get some of the arriving parts fitted.  I chose the dealer because the Guru had told me that he couldn't get a front for the Harley, there were not available, and I thought the

After riding through the deluge that was Central Victoria for 5 days my once white/silver sparkling Harley Davidson Road King was the dirtiest it has ever been, even dirtier than after the 6200k WA/Nullarbor Crossing late last year.  I spent the morning looking for other things to do rather than starting to wash it but before lunch it was time

Up at 5.15am today, really quick showers, lots of cereal and yoghurt and the Harley Davidsons packed as quickly as we could saw us on the road home not too much after 6am.  We had all our wet weather gear on, opting not to risk getting wet early with such a long distance to travel.  It was also quite cool first up so the extra layer helped

We woke to another mild morning, not raining yet but we knew from yesterday that rain was likely to build during the day and it wasn't worth ignoring the severe weather warnings that were issued.  We took our time over breakfast planning to arrive at Maryborough for the gathering of Harleys participating in the Thunder Run which would take
