Some kidless free time with my wife presented the opportunity to shop for the final piece of the bike gear puzzle for her, the helmet. We tried the big bike store and Harley dealer first, no luck there for size and colour, so we went back to the place I bought my bike. She tried on Nolan's, BMW's and others without too much luck and then spotted the nice shiny Shoei's on a lovely perspex stand, and her size was displayed in, of course, black.
Cringing a little (me that is) on went the helmet, out came the smile (that wasn't me) and the decision was almost made. The salesman sealed it by saying, "Once you try on a Shoei, it's hard to go back. They are the best but they are expensive" Now I'm not endorsing them or attesting to the truth of the statement, just that it was exactly the right thing to say. My wife replied, "Well that's the type of girl I am" and the helmet was sold @ $669.00.
Given her head is much prettier than mine, it makes sense to take good care of it, I guess.
The only thing we need to do now is find some kid and rain free time so she can lose her Hoginity.
