Return against my will: Lesson Learnt

Date:
By Wom Battle

The decision about the helmet was made, I was looking for a full face.  The difficulty was finding one that suited.  The Nolan XL size fitted the best but I couldn't find one in black at any of the motorcycle stores in the area that I wanted to visit. Which left the one I had decided not to revisit.

One last chance, so in I went. I walked in and saw the boss, who as I mentioned I had quite a few dealings with over the past and he greeted me by name.  I told him about committing to the Harley-Davidson but not about my last experience in his store.  After a short time he handed me over to one of his staff and I quickly located the helmet I wanted. I also wanted to look at jackets, boots and other things while I was there but the staff member took the first opportunity he could and disappeared to serve invisible people who weren't in the store to buy anything.

Left on my own I decided to buy the helmet and run.  There was a discussion between a number of staff standing in a back area doing nothing about who was going to take my payment of $272.50.  A blonde female was pushed my way and I paid.  I started to walk out of the shop and I thought of a question I would like to ask so turned to walk back.  The blonde saw me coming back and scampered back into the "staff only" area.  I stood in plain sight of them and they looked at me..I looked at them and not one of the dumb, rude pricks or pricksesses made any move to find out what I wanted.

I spotted the guy who the owner had passed me to squatted down behind the counter and went over to the counter and stood in front of him.  The counter had a glass cabinet in it and unless he was clinically blind there's no way he couldn't have seen me standing right in front of him.  I spoke to force him to look at me, and asked the question. I got a one word answer and he went back to what he was doing without bothering to find out if ther was anything else I wanted.

I considered returning the helmet at that point and if there was another local option for one, I would have. I hereby vow to boil and eat my own balls if I ever set foot in that store again, and I really really really hate boiled meat!

P.S. I will NEVER buy a Suzuki either.
